He did it!!

Josh graduated from BYU and we couldn't be prouder of our guy! He's been in school ever since we got married and it feels so good to have a break (until grad school hits us in a few years).

Here's to a change of scenery (we were more than ready for a move), a new job, and the next chapter of our lives!

Josh, you are the smartest, hardest-working, most handsome guy we know and we are so proud of you!

This guy

Happy Father's Day to the very best! (I know we're late but we've been sick around here - someone please explain to me how Maddie and I get the worst colds of our life in June).

I was reading through some old journal entries back to when I was pregnant and so sick with Maddie.  At one point I had said how Josh was a better wife than I was - cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and pretty much keeping our lives together while going to school and doing everything else he does.  I'd like to say that I'm always totally on top of things now but one day just last week he hid all the laundry from me so he could do it all himself.  And now that I think about it, he did all the laundry twice last week and made dinner more often than I did.  How I got this guy, I'm still not quite sure.

But better than that is watching him be a dad to our little girl. Their relationship is so sweet and fun and perfect.  He can cheer her up and fix her world or calm her down anytime and knows just what to do to make her happy.  She only has eyes for him and I hope it stays that way for a long, long time.

One year ago...

I can't believe it's already been a year - but at the same time, considering all that has happened in the past year, I can (we do have a 3 month old baby after all).  What an incredible and very eventful year it has been.  I'm so lucky to be married to the most wonderful person in the entire world.  Really.

Daddy's Girl

Our little lady is a Daddy's girl through and through.  The whole time I was pregnant with Maddie I'd tell Josh that she was going to love him more than anything and this is already proving to be true.  She lights up when she sees him and loves it when he holds her and rocks her to sleep.  Whenever I am trying unsuccessfully to calm her down Josh will say "let me taker her" and when he holds her she is instantly quiet. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it - just kidding, it's darling.

Josh loves his little girl.  I never thought I'd see the day when Josh asked me what bow I wanted Maddie to wear, but it happens all the time now... pretty cute.
