Bye Bye Utah

              

Little Maddie earned her wings.  She was such a trooper (and a sleepy baby thank heavens) for our first flight + a layover + a 2 hour delay + a second flight + the headache of checked bags and having waaaay too much stuff.  Thank you Maddie!

We are now happily in New Jersey and getting settled in for the summer.  We love seeing the ocean out our windows and falling asleep to crashing waves.

Where Children Sleep

I know this isn't my usual post about Maddie, but I found a link to this book while reading Design Mom a while back and have had it bookmarked on my computer since.  The book is called "Where Children Sleep" and shows the living conditions for children all over the world from one extreme to the other.  It's eye-opening and pretty sobering.  Really interesting though, and definitely worth reading if you have the chance.

Blessing Day

Last Sunday we blessed Maddie up in Bountiful.  Josh gave Maddie a sweet and beautiful blessing.  It was such a great day and so wonderful to have so much love and support from our awesome families.  My amazing mom made Maddie a gorgeous dress - seriously - which the pictures do no justice.  Maddie was such a trooper the whole day.

 We were lucky enough to have all 8 of Josh and my grandparents there - All of Maddie's great grandparents.  Amazing that they were all there!

Maddie Lately...

This little lady is learning something new everyday and it is so fun to watch! Lately she has loved her tongue and sucking on her bottom lip.  She loves to stretch out and play and cries sometimes if we interrupt her play time by picking her up.  She snores in her sleep sometimes and has lots of light hair that stands straight up.  She is so happy and sweet (unless she's hungry), and smiles at us constantly - I just can't ever seem to get pictures of her smiling.  We love our girl!
